On October 12, 13 and 14, 2022 at the headquarters of the Central Unica dos Trabalhadores (CUT) in São Paulo, Brazil, the fifth regional meeting of the Regional Coordination of Home-Based Workers’ Organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean was held.
The meeting was an opportunity to dialogue, reflect, and plan activities to strengthen the unity of COTRADO ALAC, and brought together representatives from several countries.
Among other activities, the participants shared information about projects that have taken place in their countries in the last two years, analyzed the strengths, opportunities, challenges and threats from each country, held a strategic planning workshop to review and approve the strategic plan of COTRADO ALAC, and made decisions to continue with the process of registration and establishment of COTRADO ALAC in São Paulo Brazil.
In addition, representatives of the HomeNet International Working Committee were present to discuss the process and preparations for the HomeNet International Congress to be held in April 2023.
