HNSA conducted training for its affiliates to build their capacity in fundraising and writing effective proposals on June 19th-21st and August 14th-16th, 2024. The objectives of the training were to enhance the skills of participants in designing programs and developing proposals that address their organisational needs and concerns. For any organisation, raising funds is crucial to maintaining the quality and quantity of work they do, including issues affecting home-based workers.

As part of creating a regional learning and sharing platform, HNSA organised this workshop in the form of training. Affiliates from 32 organisations across 7 South Asian countries participated and learned collaboratively about the principles of fundraising and proposal development.

The two workshops, each lasting 3 days in June and August, provided a comprehensive overview of various aspects of proposal writing—from establishing project clarity to identifying the right donors and crafting compelling proposals. With interactive worksheets, assignments, and hands-on guidance from our WIEGO’s Programme Strategy Advisor, Rhonda Douglas, the events generated significant interest among our affiliates.
