On February 24-25, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam, HomeNet Southeast Asia invited Ms. Maria Lucette Parrilla Dela Rosa from the Philippines to conduct Digital Marketing & Website Development Training for its member countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The training aimed to equip participants with essential digital marketing skills, particularly in website development and social media utilization. Each country successfully created its own website, which serves as a digital platform for promoting its local products and services.

A key highlight of the training was the hands-on session on website creation using a program specifically designed for the home-based workers network. The workshop covered essential digital marketing strategies, including:

  • Leveraging SEO and social media to build brand identity and engage communities
  • Using email and content marketing to foster deeper connections with home-based workers
  • Applying influencer marketing and PPC ads to reach the right target audience
  • Designing a professional, user-friendly website
  • Integrating digital marketing tools to expand outreach
  • Ensuring website content is accessible and inclusive for all home-based workers

The training provided participants with a deeper understanding of digital marketing as a tool for expanding opportunities and strengthening communities. More than just a business strategy, digital marketing serves as a powerful driver of social change. Owning a website is not just about having an online presence—it’s about empowerment, giving home-based workers a platform to connect, share, and access better job opportunities.Connect – Innovate – Take Action! This core message of the workshop will continue to inspire efforts to build a digital ecosystem that empowers home-based workers to thrive in the future
