Save the date! On Friday, March 10th we will be hosting along with WIEGO, IDWF, StreetNet International and Global Alliance of Waste Pickers an NGO CSW67 Forum side event titled “Informal economy workers and their technological challenges during the pandemic”
This event will provide a unique opportunity to hear directly from women workers from different sectors ––street vendors, home-based workers, waste pickers and domestic workers–– on how they adapted and took to digital tools despite their many challenges throughout he Covid-19 crisis. They will share their experiences, lessons learned, and which types of technologies are most useful to their work.
Patricia Coñoman, from CONATRADO Chile and HNI International Working Committee member and Pamela Adhiambo Othieno, home-based worker leader from HomeNet Kenya, will be speaking on behalf of HNI and home-based workers.
