HomeNet Africa Strategic Planning and Implementation Oversight Committee is a team of individuals drawn from each of the participating country networks of home-based workers (HBWs) from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda and South Africa. The Committee held a three-day meeting between the 2nd and 6th of October, 2023, at the MS-TCDC Arusha, Tanzania.
The group met with the following objectives in mind:
- Clarify our roles and responsibilities at regional and national level especially on financial management.
- Continue our review of the HNI Constitution in preparation for developing the HNA Constitution.
In pursuit of the above, the Committee was able to discuss the following:
- Fundamentals of financial management; budget estimates, activity implementation and financial reporting.
- Discussions on the membership and criteria to HomeNet Africa, the structure of the network as well as the role of the country networks.
